Thurl Holbert – Strength Coach

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Delaware (2014). I am also a USAW Level 1 Certified coach. With 14 years of experience in personal training, sports-specific coaching, and athletic development, I specialize in advancing athletes through tailored strength and conditioning programs.

Philosophy of Coaching:

I utilize NSCA standards of strength and conditioning methods to advance athletes in their respective sports. My focus is on the proper progression of athletic training through each phase of conditioning, strength, and power.

I build confidence by teaching proper movement patterns and adapting to the needs of each individual athlete. My coaching attitude is composed and patient, as calm directives create less stress and more focus, enabling athletes to execute their workouts effectively.

I have worked with a range of athletes, including the University of Delaware men’s baseball, women’s rowing, and women’s track and field teams, as well as 13U and high school tackle football.
